Terms of Service

Effective date: 2026-11-01

These terms govern your use of the Lexidomy app and related services (the "Service") run by TODO Operator name ("we"). If the Korean version differs from this one, the Korean version prevails, except where the law of your country requires otherwise.

1. Accepting these terms

By using the Service you agree to these terms. We may change them as the law allows. We announce changes in the app and on lexidomy.com 7 days before they take effect (30 days for changes that are less favourable to you). If you do not agree, stop using the Service and ask us to delete your data.

2. Who can use the Service

You must be 14 or older in Korea and 13 or older elsewhere (or the higher age your EU member state sets).

3. Accounts

  1. A guest account is created when you first open the app. It lives on your device, so deleting the app or switching devices may lose your history.
  2. Do not create several accounts to get around the daily limit.

4. The Service

  1. Lexidomy is a writing game. You get a word, write a sentence, and compete against a sentence written by AI, scored blind by an AI judge.
  2. Free players can play the number of battles a day shown in the app. The limit resets at midnight in your device's time zone. Battles that fail because of an error do not count.
  3. We may change opponent models, scoring rules and limits to improve the Service. Scoring changes that affect rankings get a new version and are announced.

5. What AI scores mean

Scores and outcomes are game results for fun and practice. They are not an official judgement of literary or academic merit. AI scoring can be wrong, and we do not guarantee its accuracy.

6. Your content

  1. You keep the copyright in the sentences you write.
  2. You give us a free, non-exclusive licence to use your sentences only as needed to run the Service (scoring, showing results, keeping your history) and, if you choose to make them public, to show them in rankings and shares. The licence ends when you delete the sentence.
  3. We do not use your sentences to train AI models without your separate consent.
  4. You can freely read the AI opponent's sentences, but we do not guarantee they do not resemble other works.

7. Rules

You must not:

  1. Submit sentences written by AI or by someone else as your own.
  2. Manipulate limits or rankings with multiple accounts, automation or abnormal requests.
  3. Attack the Service or its servers, or include instructions meant to manipulate the AI judge.
  4. Write content that harasses, promotes hate or discrimination, is sexually explicit or violent, or violates others' privacy or rights.
  5. Break any applicable law.

If we find a violation, we may remove the records from rankings or restrict your use after notice (or right after, in urgent cases). You can appeal at contact@lexidomy.com.

8. Reports

You can report inappropriate sentences or unfair scores in the app or at contact@lexidomy.com. We start reviewing reports within 24 hours.

9. Paid features

If we offer a subscription:

  1. Payment and auto-renewal are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play. You can cancel in your store account settings at least 24 hours before renewal.
  2. Refunds follow the store's policy.
  3. Users in Korea may withdraw within 7 days of payment if they have not used the paid features, under Korea's Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce. Users in the EU and UK keep their statutory rights.
  4. Price, contents and renewal period are shown on the purchase screen.

10. Changes and interruptions

We may pause the Service for maintenance, outages or problems at our AI providers. If we shut the Service down, we will tell you 30 days in advance, and unused paid periods are refunded under store policies.

11. Liability

Except for intent or gross negligence, we are not liable for losses from using the free Service, or for losses caused by events outside our control such as natural disasters or outages at AI or network providers. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes go to the court with jurisdiction under Korea's Civil Procedure Act. If you are a consumer outside Korea, the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country also apply.
